Before joining Lee & Ko, Mr. Heejong Yoon served for approximately 18 years as a Special Judicial Police Officer with the Ministry of Environment’s Han River Basin Environmental Office. In this role, he specialized in conducting guidance and inspections of pollutant-emitting facilities, giving him extensive field experience with a wide range of environmental law violations and a proven track record in resolving diverse environmental complaints.

As part of Lee & Ko’s Environmental Criminal Defense Team, Mr. Yoon will significantly enhance our clients’ corporate environmental response capabilities. He will provide crucial support in the prevention of and response to violations across key environmental statutes, including integrated environmental management, air and water quality, waste, and chemical substances, as well as expert interpretation of complex environmental laws and monitoring of the latest policy developments.
