He has also laid the initial policy framework in Korea for climate change, low carbon energy and renewable energy. After completing the position of 2nd Vice Minister of Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy in 2014, he served as Vice Chairman of the Korean Free Economic Zones Committee and Executive Vice Chairman of the Korea International Trade Association (KITA).
