Since joining Lee & Ko in 2015, Ms. Bami Yoo has been part of the Capital Markets and the International Arbitration Team of the firm. She currently specializes in international arbitration and has represented clients in a number of cases involving various industries, including cybersecurity, bioengineering, M&A, construction, defense, shipping and pharmacy. During her time as a member of the finance team, she was involved in many high-profile cross-border investments in real estate, infrastructure, vessels, aircraft, and private equity.
She received her LL.M. degree at the New York University School of Law, following which she worked as an international lawyer at the International Disputes Resolution Group of Debevoise & Plimpton, New York Office.
Ms. Yoo is also active in the international arbitration society and currently serves as the Assistant Editor for East and Central Asia of the Kluwer Arbitration Blog.

- Represented a U.S.-based cloud service company against a U.S.-based cryptocurrency company in relation to a cloud servicing agreement in a JAMS arbitration
- Represented a Japanese pharmaceutical company against a Korea-based pharmaceutical company in relation to a license agreement in an ICC arbitration
- Represented the Republic of Korea against German-based company in relation to delay and cost claim in an ICC arbitration
- Represented a Korea-based construction company against an Omani subcontractor in relation to a water sewage plant project regarding LD claim and cost claim in an ICC arbitration
- Represented a Korea-based construction company against an Egyptian subcontractor regarding delay and cost claim in an ICC arbitration
- Represented a Korea-based construction company against a Kuwaiti subcontractor regarding delay and cost claim in an ICC arbitration

- Represented the National Pension Service with respect to its USD500 million investment in One Vanderbilt building located in the heart of Manhattan, New York.
- Represented the client with respect to its investment of USD500 million in US industrial real estate portfolio, composed of 297 real estate assets.
- Provided advice to Public Procurement Service in re-structuring and drafting amendments to regulations and rules on bidding procedure.
- Represented an asset management company with respect to its investment in a first class office complex in Tokyo, Japan.
- Provided legal advice to an asset management company in refinancing of investment in a global first class hotel in Chicago.
- Represented asset management companies on a number of financing and refinancing of vessels chartered to prominent shipping companies, including Hanjin Shipping, Pan Ocean, and H-line Shipping.
- Represented an asset management company on behalf of a Singapore-based global private equity firm, with respect to its investment in the large-scale logistics facilities complex in Incheon.
- Provided legal advice to the National Pension Fund and to the Korea Investment Corporation on a number of offshore investments in private equity, real estate, and infrastructure funds, and on EU financial regulatory issues.
