Soon Nam Jang is a certified tax accountant in the Tax Group. Mr. Jang concentrates his practice on all aspects of tax controversies, and in particular, he is recognized as a leading expert in representing both domestic and international clients with their tax audit defense.
Prior to joining Lee & Ko in 2014, Mr. Jang served for over 20 years in various senior capacities at the National Tax Service (NTS), and also, at the Seoul Regional Tax Office where he directed the Audit and Inspection Bureau – Division 4, which is a specialized division conducting, among others, high-profile tax audits of Korean conglomerates. With his deep experience at the NTS and the Seoul Regional Tax Office, Mr. Jang has successfully advised both from the auditor and the auditee perspectives to formulate a strategic roadmap for effective tax audit defense.
